Which one do you struggle the most with when it comes to learning Korean?
Learning all the formalities.
Formalities are essential to the culture of Korea. It’s probably one of the most common ways in which foreigners offend natives. But there are so many of them that the exact number of formal titles in Korean culture is difficult to determine as there are many variations and regional differences.
오라버니 (orabeoni) or 오빠 (oppa)? Which one are you most likely to use?
Lack of feedback.
It can be frustrating to spend hours studying and practicing Korean without knowing if you’re actually making any progress.
Receiving feedback is crucial for Korean learners because it helps them identify their strengths and weaknesses in the language, allowing them to improve faster and more effectively.
But getting that feedback isn’t easy or cost-effective. In some cases, it can cost tens of thousands of dollars to work one-on-one with a teacher so you can eventually become fluent.
Memorizing over 400 verb endings without being able to use any in a conversation.
For example, the verb "to eat" in Korean is "먹다" (meokda). It has different endings depending on the tense and formality level. In the formal speech ending, “please eat slowly,” with verb 먹다 is “천천히 먹으십시오” However, you won’t need to remember this, as it is not as common as the lesser formal version which is 먹으세요 or the one with an honorific version of 먹다, 드세요.
Getting stuck with Korean grammar markers.
Korean grammar is difficult enough for English speakers because it is so different from any Western country, but markers are in a league of their own. There are many different markers, each with its own meaning and usage, and some words can have more than one marker depending on their role in the sentence. Additionally, the order of markers in a sentence can affect its meaning, making it overwhelming to say the least and honestly, unless you are a teacher or working in academia, you don’t need to master all Korean grammar markers to be able to have a conversation with a native.
Even natives skip the marker. Here are some examples:
김치(를) 좋아해요? Do you like kimchi?
어제 친구와 영화(를) 봤어요. I watched a movie with my friend yesterday.
이 사과(는) 얼마예요? How much is this apple?
내일 시간(이) 있어요? Are you free tomorrow?
Losing motivation after using the wrong words.
Many Korean learners find themselves in frustrating and embarrassing situations for one simple reason: the word they’re using sounds weird to native speakers.
Take the example of "excuse me."
While the translation may seem straightforward, using the literal translation 실례합니다 (sillyehamnida) in a restaurant to get the staff's attention might actually make you stand out as a foreigner.
Instead, the appropriate phrase to use would be 저기요 (jeogiyo) or 여기요 (yeogiyo), which means "over here."
And it's not just "excuse me" that can cause confusion.
In a crowded subway, the Korean version of "excuse me" is 잠시만요 (jamsimanyo).
This is where most learners will get stuck, and lose motivation and confidence.
And then it’s just a matter of time before they give up and won’t talk anymore despite all the effort they’ve already put in.
So, what if there was a way to learn Korean fast… without getting stuck for years at the same level or investing thousands of dollars in working with a teacher?
Whether you want to learn Korean because you have a love for Korean culture, K-Pop, or K-Drama, you plan to move or travel to South Korea someday, or your partner is a native Korean, please continue reading. You’re about to learn how 18,000 people were able to learn Korean and love every minute of it.
"I have tried hagwons, private instructors and other online Korean sites yet I never really expanded in my Korean language skills. 90 Day Koreans practical interconnected lessons made it much easier for me to absorb the material and they're given me a strong grasp of the fundamentals and I am integrating it into real conversations for the first time."

Korean is a wildly popular language to learn these days, thanks to the rise of K-Pop, K-Dramas, Korean movies, and Korean culture in general.
But why is it so difficult to learn?
The answer is simple.
Learning a language that involves a new writing system, complex grammar, and formalities, new sounds, and sentence structure (such as Korean) can be challenging for a native English speaker. However, if you set yourself up with the right materials with a learning method you enjoy, it becomes easy.
But Most Korean Language Learning Programs Are Missing The Point...
Let’s call out the obvious:
A lot of teachers have created Korean courses but didn’t take into account what most students nowadays actually want.
That’s unfortunate…
…Because most language learners will give up on achieving their goals OR make pain-stacking slow progress because they’re stuck focusing on aspects of the Korean language that don’t apply in real life.
Here’s the critical point they’re missing:
Real-life conversations in Korean are different from textbook examples
Students need to learn practical, everyday Korean that will enable them to communicate effectively with native speakers in various settings. You can take a plane today from the US and wake up in Korea tomorrow.
You don’t have to live in South Korea to learn and speak to Koreans
In the Inner Circle, you practice all aspects of Korean, not just reading and listening.

Its grammar, sentence structure, and cultural elements are very different from English or any European language.
However, our students have proven that using the right method can help you make progress faster than you think. Our teaching approach is based on psychology, the latest productivity research, and offering a lot of feedback.

“Life in Korea is totally different for me now.”
I used to be of those guys fumbling around with a mix of English and Korean whenever I'd try to communicate. Now I can talk in Korean with confidence when I order food, ask questions at a store, or talk with Koreans. I'm not a natural language learner, but it was quite easy using 90 Day Korean's teaching methods. It's been a lot of fun, and I've recommended their program to all my friends. It's easy, and it works.

Our mission
At 90 Day Korean, we're on a mission to make Korean language learning fun, easy, and practical. As a team of native Koreans and foreigners who live in Korea, we offer a unique perspective that combines the best of both worlds. Our goal is to provide accessible and innovative language learning solutions that foster cultural understanding, personal growth, and global citizenship. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced learner, we're here to help you unlock the beauty and richness of the Korean language and culture.

Speak with confidence in any situation and find the motivation to continue learning
Feedback is especially important when it comes to language learning because you need to be able to communicate effectively with other people. If you don't get feedback on your pronunciation or grammar, you could end up saying something that means the opposite of what you intended or that is simply incomprehensible to a native speaker.
So, here’s how you can get feedback as an Inner Circle member:
Get 1:1 personal coaching with a native Korean teacher via text
Get your homework graded by our teachers
Ask for recommendations about Korean culture like books, shows, songs, and K-dramas simply by posting in our community
Learning Korean can be fun when you have the right study materials
Memorizing words is no fun. Figuring out grammar rules can be utterly tedious. And when your study materials are plain boring, learning something can be a chore anyone will gladly postpone indefinitely. Every language learner found that the hard way. It’s why we made sure learning Korean can be fun.
Inner Circle gives you access to a wide range of study materials that are designed to cater to individual learning styles and quick wins. So if you only have 10 minutes to study today, you’ll still walk away having learned something new and useful.
Here’s a glimpse of our Korean Gym learning area, where you’ll find all the Korean language exercises you’ll ever need to train
Korean Gym contains activities that are designed to help increase memorization of the words you’ve seen, as well as improve recall speed and build mental associations in your mind between the Korean word and a trigger story or concept in English.
This isn’t simply a bunch of memorization activities like you’d expect from language learning apps. These activities are designed to train your brain and increase your ability to use and recall these words more naturally.
Explore Korean culture like an insider (and unlock some cool extras)
One of the most popular places in Inner Circle is our community. This is a place dedicated to the Korean language and culture, and through it, you can expect to find sub-forums related to learning Korean, getting deeper into K-Pop, and discovering more about life in Korea.
Plus, the community gives you a chance to practice your speaking skills, find friends and get some extra perks as well, like:
Extra learning sections like videos which are designed to walk you through more interesting topics about life in Korea
Scripts for K-Dramas and drama recommendations from Korean learners and 90 Day Korean coaches
The community experience is a great way to learn Korean in a different format. While it’s good to have worksheets and books to study, being able to talk, listen and interact with natives is invaluable for learning another language.
Here’s a glimpse of what’s inside our Inner Circle community

Learn Korean Smarter, Not Harder
It’s hard to put a price on how much value you can get when you choose the Inner Circle to learn Korean.
The total value of the Inner Circle is hard to quantify as it offers a comprehensive and unique approach to learning Korean, with a focus on practical application and cultural understanding.
However, when compared to other language learning methods, such as one-on-one tutoring, language schools, or traditional language learning apps, Inner Circle offers significant value. For example:
One-on-one tutoring can cost anywhere from $30-$100 per hour, with limited access to materials and resources outside of class time. In comparison, Inner Circle offers structured courses, 1:1 coaching with a native Korean teacher, homework grading, and access to audio resources, all for a significantly lower price.
Language schools and programs can range from $500 to $10,000 or more, with limited flexibility and personalized attention. Inner Circle, on the other hand, offers self-paced courses that can be accessed anytime, anywhere, with personalized coaching and feedback from expert language tutors.
Traditional language learning apps may offer lower prices, but often lack cultural context and real-life application. Inner Circle, on the other hand, offers a comprehensive curriculum that includes cultural insights and practical language skills, with the added benefit of personalized feedback from a native Korean teacher.
Overall, the value of Inner Circle lies in its unique approach to language learning, combining practical skills, cultural understanding, and personalized attention at a more affordable price point than other traditional language learning methods.

Still have questions?
Here’s what other Inner Circle members have asked before joining:
The Inner Circle is a great place to start learning Korean if you are a beginner. It takes you step by step through every important milestone. There’s a roadmap you can follow so you’ll never get lost or focus on elements of the language that are beyond your learning level. Plus, you get to work with native Korean speakers and teachers who will support you at every step of the process so you can make progress fast.
Yes, a lot of what we teach in the Inner Circle aims to help you unlock new parts of Korean culture. You will learn about formalities and how to use them in everyday situations. You’ll get introduced to traditions and cultural concepts that will give new meaning to some of the most popular scenes in Korean dramas or lyrics in your favorite K-pop concert.
That’s up to you.
In our experience:
it takes about 600 hours to reach a high intermediate level
and about one year to be fully conversationally fluent
you can learn the Hangeul alphabet in 60 to 90 minutes
and be able to have a 3-min conversation after about 3 months
The most committed students become conversationally fluent in less than a year.
However, you are in control of the amount of time you invest in this.
The good news is that whether you invest 5 minutes or 50 minutes a day, you’ll still be able to see good results because:
We use the 80/20 productivity approach and the powerful association technique to teach you Korean in a way that you’ve never thought possible.
We offer a full Korean curriculum that includes lessons, games and activities that walk you through every bit of the language, from the alphabet to grammar, speaking, listening and writing.
We offer our students multiple ways to receive feedback and practice what they learn so they can make progress fast.
As much as you need. Feedback is especially important when it comes to language learning because you need to be able to communicate effectively with other people. If you don't get feedback on your pronunciation or grammar, you could end up saying something that means the opposite of what you intended or that is simply incomprehensible to a native speaker.
So, here’s how you can get feedback as an Inner Circle member
- Get 1:1 personal coaching with a native Korean teacher via text
- Get your homework graded by our teachers
If you don’t love the 90 Day Korean Membership, just email us within 30 days of signing up for a full refund. No questions asked, and we’ll be happy you tried the program.
It’s easy to contact our Customer Support team. Just click on the blue circle in the bottom right corner of any page to send us a message.
Inner Circle is great for any skill level as it gives you access to three essential parts of learning a language:
You get a coach who will help you assess your skill level and indicate the parts of the program that you will benefit from the most
You get full access to every one of our learning activities that are easy to use and understand by anyone, regardless of your skill level
The Inner Circle is designed to give you practical Korean knowledge that you can start to put to use right away. It is not designed as a prep course for academic tests. While the knowledge you get from the Inner Circle can help you with passing the TOPIK, we wouldn't recommend it as the sole preparation method.
We estimate that it would take about 600 hours to reach a high intermediate level which is where you can be conversationally fluent. However, you are in control of the amount of time you invest in this.
So, if you are a part-time student or if you’re studying for fun, then you’ll be able to see good results with an investment of 5 to 8 hours a week.
On the other hand, if you are a full-time student and aim to become fluent fast, then we recommend about 20 to 25 hours per week.
The good news is that whether you invest 5 minutes or 50 minutes a day, you’ll still be able to see good results as long as you are consistent and ask for feedback.
There are around 2 grammar lessons each week. We know that grammar can be challenging, so we made it as easy as posible with two different types of grammar lessons.
The first is FundaMentals, which teaches you essential Korean grammar using easy explanations in terms anyone can understand.
The second type is Plug ‘n Play. These are simple grammar structures that you can use right away by plugging in words.
This allows you to express and understand a wide range of ideas without needing to spend a lot of time on grammar study.
This means you’ll learn the most important part of the language first so you can get to speaking and communicating as fast as possible.
That is amazing. If the person who is helping you has agreed to give you feedback and you already know some Korean, then you can use the Standard plan to hit your Korean goals. Here’s a breakdown of what’s included in Standard vs the Inner Circle.
Absolutely! Just send an email to [email protected] after you complete one of the modules, and we'll issue you a certificate of completion.
Inner Circle contains everything you need to learn Korean.
You’ll find lessons and activities in our language curriculum that explores vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, writing, speaking and listening so you don’t need to install other apps or buy other materials such as exercise or grammar books.
You’ll train with our Korean teachers so you’ll receive feedback both 1:1 and in a group setting, so you don’t need to book teachers outside the program.
You’ll find stories in our learning area to train your reading skills, so you don’t need to buy additional books.
You’ll get access to our private community so you don’t need to find other places online where you can interact with like-minded people over your shared love of the Korean culture.
There’s a roadmap you can follow so you’ll never get lost or focus on elements of the language that are beyond your learning level. Plus, you get to work with native Korean speakers and teachers who will support you at every step of the process so you can make progress fast.
