Course Content

What is inside the course?

Inside the course, you get hand-picked step-by-step instructions for what to study and when. Each week, you receive a set of lessons to self-study. The lessons are all taught in a way that you’ll use in an everyday conversation and have lots of examples, so they are easy to follow.

When you finish that set of lessons, you can move on to the next set. The lessons build on each other, similar to language courses taught at a university, think of it as a cyber university.

However, unlike university courses, the language you’ll learn in our courses will be practical instead of academic. That means you can put to use what you learn in normal everyday life.

We send you course lesson reminders on a weekly basis, aiding you in staying on track with learning new content regularly. You can turn the lesson reminder feature off or on at any time.

How is the course material taught?

The step-by-step course is text with clickable audio throughout the lessons. Each week of lessons has “Challenges” at the end, which are fun applications of the material you have learned. These Challenge activities vary from writing sentences to your coach to communicating over text to real-world applications as you go throughout your day.

The learning material uses the 80/20 principle, which means we teach you 20% of the language, which will give you 80% of the results. This is not an academic course, and we focus on practical parts of the language. We’re committed to only teaching you grammar and vocabulary that’ll actually be useful. You will learn to read and write, as well as speak, which will enhance your basic conversational skills.

Why are the 90 Day courses different?

We use a structured, step-by-step approach to make learning a language easy. It’s like painting by numbers for learning the Korean language. It’s a simple strategy, and it works.

We also use psychology and stories to help make it easier for you to retain new information. And if you join with the VIP membership, you’ll be able to take advantage of our native Korean language coaches and homework graders.

How is the course constructed?

We have four online Korean courses that start from the absolute beginner level and will take you to the upper intermediate level. Each course is called a “level” and lasts for 90 days if you follow our suggested pace. However, you can go as slowly or as quickly as you’d like.

The first level will teach you real-world Korean skills that will allow you to have a 3-minute conversation in Korean. We focus on teaching you practical Korean. For example, you’ll learn words and sentences you’d most need when traveling to Korea, ordering at restaurants, watching K-Dramas, interacting with Korean in-laws or family members, singing along to your favorite K-pop songs, understanding the culture, or comfortably living in South Korea.

Once you complete Level 1, you can move on to levels 2, 3, and 4. Each level builds on the previous course material and helps you build a strong foundation of Korean language skills. By the time you finish Level 4, you will be conversationally fluent in the language.

  1. M Cristina Mauceri

    Good morning,
before enrolling I have a few questions:
    1) is the monthly payment automatically renewed or I have to renevew it every month. I would prefer the first option. You have written: “You to cancel your membership at any time without any minimums or penalties, “So I desume that I can interrupt it otherwise my enrolment continue? Am I correct?
    2) I am going to Korea on October 18, do I have enough time to learn basic Korean?

    1. Thanks so much for your interest in our membership. ^^

      1) Yes, you’re correct. Once you register for our monthly (Standard or VIP) subscription to the 90 Day Korean Membership program, your membership payment will automatically renew every month, so you don’t need to worry about having to renew it. You will lock in your rate, and it will stay the same even if the public rate goes up. You can cancel your membership anytime, there are no minimums or penalties. You can easily do this with a few clicks inside the member’s area or by sending us an email.

      2) If you follow our suggested pace, you will be able to have a 3-minute conversation in Korean in the first 90 days. The speed and period you develop your skills in Korean depend on your goals, the material or course you use, and the amount of time and effort you dedicate to it. You can read this article called How long does it take to learn Korean? to know more about estimated time periods.

  2. Okay i have done some levels by myself but i want a certificate for levels i have completed by myself from authorised korean language training centre after giving the exam, can please help me regarding this? Please it’s important!

  3. Hi I am a 65 year old lady who wishes to learn Korean as a hobby and for holiday use. I am not great at languages but can say very basic words in two or three different languages, Usually for holiday use. With the Korean honorifics in mind I think I would use honorifics at all times (less to remember) as a visitor to their country. Would the use of honorifics in all situations be appropriate with my limited skills?

    1. Thanks for your question! Using honorifics in all situations, even with limited Korean language skills, can be a sign of respect. However, it can sound a bit formal and strange in some cases. We suggest spending a bit of time learning when to use honorifics and when not to. You can focus on basic conversation skills first and add in honorifics as you get better. As you learn more, you can use honorifics more accurately. You can check out our article on Korean Honorifics to learn more about it.
